i want my home dir to be sorted by Date Modified. unfortunately, the default behaviour is to place the most recently modified folder last in the icon view. and i would like the opposite. there doesn't seem to be a sort direction arrow as there is in list view.

any ideas?

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to just use list view.

i do use list view because i can't figure out how to change the sorting order. mainly, i want to use icon mode. i have custom icons and i like seeing them at 72X72 when i open my home folder. just wondering if reverse-sorting by Last Modified was an option.

wow. In list view, you can make the icons bigger... not 72 x 72, tho.

It IS odd that the last modified isn't at the top. I'm not seeing any way to change that...

You could probly do it with a Folder action or an AppleScript.
