Hi,

I store all my music and movie files on an external firewire disk. Is there a way to change where the Movies and Music toolbar items point to. Currently they point to the directory under the hone directory.

Is there some place where I can change where finder will look for files when I click on the toolbar icon?

Thanks in advance,

scott

1. Copy everything in your Home Movies and Music to the folders on the FireWire drive.
2. Delete the Home Movies and Music folders.
3. Open Terminal and enter the following:
ln -s /Volumes/FireWire_drive_name/Music ~/Music
ln -s /Volumes/FireWire_drive_name/Movies ~/Movies

You might want to make two temporary folders and copy and paste the Home Movies and Music icons onto them. After you make the symlinks (step 3), copy and paste the icons from the temp folders onto the new folders.

Simply drag your other Movies and Music folders into the Finder's toolbar.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Opps, I didn't read the "toolbar" part obviously.
