According to a report on the MacNN main page, Apple is going to add DVD+R/+RW support.

Has anyone determined if such support is truly included in Panther? How about drive support - the article says Sony drives, but many G5s are shipping with Pioneer 106D drives, which also can support +R/RW if I'm not mistaken?

There is no such thing as DiskCopy in Panther.

Well, it's about time they let us be able to use DVD+RW for backups. Now I don't have to waste all those DVD+R anymore. This is something they should of have the first place.

Why don't you use DVD-RW?
