I hear that in Panther that they removed the preferences for helpers, like "mailto" and that if you delete "Mail.app" that you have no ability to use a helper. That can't be true, can it? What feature replaces this?

It looks like they removed it completely.

You can get it back by using More Internet PrefPane - see my sig.

That's not very nice, I can no longer click on an email in a web browser and use Eudora? I'll use that app though. Thanks.

You can set helper applications in Internet Explorer.
