Hello!

I have a broadband connection and mac which I will be away from for a couple of months during which time I'd love to be able to leave it downloading and keep it usefull for retrieving documents via ftp.

I really think it would be a good idea to restart it at least once a week, which is made easy by Kudown.

There is a script around which allows you to lauch mlnet via the scripts menu called MLdonkey Launcher, the problem with this is I can't get it to work as a stand-alone script to pop in the start-up items folder. Which would be ideal.

So my question:

How do I launch mlnet automaticly in such a way that the computer can be shut down without a dialoge box coming up?

Also is there a method for remotly controling the daemon?

I think I need a Unix book.

It's called EasyDonkey 1.0.2

Why didn't I find this when I was searching before?

EasyDonkey is a good launcher, but it would be nice to have mlnet launch as a service at startup. One of these days I'll get off my arse and learn how to make my own Startup Items.
