According to the site:

"Mac OS X, Panther Build 7B85 is a pre-release version of Mac OS X v10.3 Panther."

BTW, I'm getting a permission denied error when I try to download. Hopefully it's because of the load.

Yes, and piracy already covered this ground in another thread.

Not for students, nor will it ever be.

We just get it on CD in Nov or Dec.

Dare to post the checksums? (MD5 or SHA-1 digest they're called, I guess)

Why would anyone do this? Obvious that you want it to check your "warez".

People could compare the checksums they read on Apple's site to make sure it hasn't been hacked Someone could fool you with a fake web site, image, and checksums.

Just saw Panther in action. Must say that Expose is pretty nifty. Speed wise I don't see much of a difference on latest hardware but sheets and menus are very zippy now. The whole interface looks a bit cleaner. Better overall integration. The new labels looks awful in Column view. That's my only complaint.

It's worth the money, especially if you've got an older machine.
