10.2.8 Update Will not take

	Hello, I attempted to update from 10.2.3 to 10.2.8 with the combo update. A friend of mine who has high speed internet downloaded the file and burned it to a CD for me (he's running a PC with Win XP). The �D appears on the desktop, the installer launches and runs, says it was successful, restarts, and the machine starts back up as 10.2.3, any ideas? Other files he downloaded and burned for my daughters' computer worked okay, could the file be corrupt? When I drag it to disk copy to be mounted, it will mount, but it says the checksum is skipped, what does this mean? Thanks. Tom
