Hi. I want to set up a guest account so someone can ftp, is it posible to do without setting up a home directory for that user? ie A system account of some sort? And how?
Thanks.

Every user has to have a home directory. If you don't want to create another one, you could use something like CrushFTP which I think is better anyway.

I thought there might be a way around it. I hate cluttering my system up with user account directories

Will look into your url. Thanks.
