Ok smart people. Lets pool our might together.

If I had an ounce of programming ability (heck, even without it I am trying), I would like to create an iTunes like music program (could just be iTunes full screened) that would be entireley navigatable (I don't think that is a word, but you understand) with a remote. Instead of having to navigate to different users library's (on your LAN, using rendevous), when you had a machine that offered those songs they would just become part of your library.

So, you could take an old iMac or older 'book and install this software and a remote. Pipe it out to your recevier and TV and you have the makings of an Apple Home Theater Console. Whereas other consoles make you manually add music to them (TiVo makes you choose your iTunes library, Prismiq makes you install their software), this system would use rendevous and just automatically add your music.

I can't imagine that a specialty front face would be _that_ hard to create, and I really think it would be great for parties or just to sit down and enjoy some music.

Anyone interested in helping out with a project like this? I've gotta start from square 0, but I am willing to put in the time. Anyone else?

Nate
