Hi,

I noticed there is a significant Virtual Memory increase in Panther. On my iBook it went from about 1.7GB in Jaguar to 2.6GB, so thats almost a gig more...
Kernel Tasks (PID 0) takes up 613mb
ATSServer 321mb (what's that?)
and the Finder 116mb...
Those are the big boys that need more then 100mb..
Can some one verify how this was in Jaguar?
And what causes the huge VM increase?
I'm not running anything beside Safari...

Thx!

I have noticed that apps consistently use less active memory in 10.3. At first I thought it was a glitch, but it is measureable and dramatic. Another plus.
