Lately when I D/L a .dmg, the image will decompress then mount and cleanup, but then it starts alternating between decompressing and cleaning up in the D/L window and doesn't stop. The image is on the desktop and the app is in it and is able to be installed. Any ideas??? Thanks

my first step in dealing with OS X app/system weirdness is to check for errors (via disk utility while booted from the OS X CD-ROM, or the fsck command when in single-user mode) and then repair permissions.

you could also try deleting disk copy's prefs.
