Where can I find the keynote of Steve Jobs' original introduction of Mac OS X (10.0 or whatever)? I'm really curious to see it.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but the keynote for Macworld San Francisco 2000 had the iTools intro and the first glimpse at aqua and a brief run through of OS X's main components. I have it burnt on CD, if you really want to see it I can either mail you a CD or if you have decent internet we could figure something out.

Why don't you list your location in your personal info? Do you think it's not obvious?

I can put it on my server for a day or two. E-mail me and I can figure out when I can put it up there and I'll send you the address.

Yep... that's the one. Didn't know it was still there. The one I have is a bit better quality, but really... it's just a keynote. If you want it still let me know, but I'd just watch it there.

How did you find that? Are there more where that came from?

I'm looking to collect as many as the keynotes as I can. Still having troubles saving the latest ones myself. I can save it as an mpeg4 file, but no sound is saved, and the video seems to try to play at 2x speed, then snaps back quite a bit.

Anyhow, PM me if you have the keynotes either on CD or download. I'll pay for shipping, and I'll also try to mirror a few on my own server.

Haha, another opportunity for me to brag:

mwsf_2000_0105.mov 587.9MB
mwsf_2001_1000.mov 1.58GB
mwny_2002.mp4 287.1MB

Unfortunately, Apple made it impossible to find a downloadable event stream after that.

How are you finding those older keynote's on Apple's website? Can you please post the links to them? I'd love to have them and know where they are located on the website. Thanks!

Those are on my hard drive. It used to be pretty simple to figure out the downloadable movie's URL, by saving the QT reference movie (found in the HTML source) to the hard drive, then run this tool called MoiveToXML. Now, Apple/Akamai no longer runs the HTTP server on the same RTSP server, and Akamai seems to have stepped up the URL scrambling so my old trick works no more.
