I want to share an iphoto library between 2 users.

My thought was to create the iphoto library on the "shared" user, and then set the library to that location with each user, but I've been having permissions problems.

2 questions:

1. How should the permissions be set so that both of us can access the files with iphoto (we are both admins)

2. How does one set permissions for everything in the folder (apply to enclosed items in get info doesn't seem to work).

---------
Is it just me or to OS X permissions suck. It seems obnoxiously complicated. Why not a system in which you see all the current users & groups and check/uncheck them. I don't understand why it is so hard to just show a list of the users of a particular machine or network.
