I received my notification of shipment this morning (22nd Oct) for a copy of Panther I ordered on the 8th October.
I suspect it will arrive Friday morning or maybe even Thursday morning. So we could have official 10.3 installs happening hours before it is released in the USA.
My copy of 10.2 arrived a day early last year, it was released on the Saturday, but mine came on the Friday morning.
Good to know we are not at the back of the queue with everything.

Mine too (mentioned in Panther changed shipping type thread) but mine says to allow 10 business days for arrival so I'm not holding out too much hope it'll arrive on friday. I ordered from the education store, I don't know if that'd make any difference?

Got my notification too (AU Apple Store):
B7821X/A MAC OS X 10.3 EDU/GOVT-AUS 1 117.27
M9227Z/A MAC OS X PANTHER 10.3 RETAIL-INT 1 117.27
Notice there's two... This was my order confirmation:
ORDER
Part Number: B7821X/A
Product Name: Mac OS X v10.3 "Panther" Edu/Govt
Unit Price: $117.27
Quantity: 1
Net Price: $117.27
Estimated time to ship: 24th Oct 2003
Strange, anyway I expect it will arrive Friday or Monday, unless they Express Posted it in which case it will be tomorrow or Friday.
Edit: Further investigation into my order status (which I could not access until today) reveals that my order contains two items as above but the total cost is $117.27 so I can assume I will only get one copy (not that I ever really thought I would et two).
Also just got an e-mail saying if I went to an Apple Centre and bought Panther I would get a free T-shirt... What about us pre-orderers?!
