This could well be a stupid question. Oh well:

I've been bad over the last couple months about letting Software Update do its thing, and I've accumulated several un-installed updates on both my Macs. I'm not at either of the right computers now, but I know the undone updates include 10.2.8, Quicktime, iPod, iCal, and a couple others.

I'm going to be getting Panther soon. Obviously, there's no reason for me to do the 10.2.8 update. Will installing Panther give me the most recent updates for all the other crap too? I'd like to not mess with it at all, since I'll be doing a Panther install anyway.

Alternatively, I guess whatever Panther doesn't update will still be in my Software Update after the Panther install?

iTunes 4.1, iPod 2.1 may or may have not made it on to the final pressing. You'll probably need to get those again.

This depends on the type of update that you do. However, the updates will no longer be valid should they remain after doing an upgrade and leaving Jag residue behind and they should no longer appear.
