Whenever I try to launch a Java application(applets work) I get the following in cosole:
Mac OS X Version 10.3 (Build 7B85)
2003-10-24 17:36:30 -0400
HotSpot not at correct virtual address. Sharing disabled.

The application appears to open but nothing ever shows up except the icon in the dock.

This is under retail Panther I just got the upgrade installed a couple hours ago since Fed Ex guy came.

Just had the same problem myself. Here's the link that got me fixed up:

http://lists.apple.com/archives/java...emsjav.007.txt

Basically rename or remove /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework, then install /Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1/System/Installation/Packages/Java.pkg from the first CD. If you have the developer tools installed, they may have to be reinstalled.
