It seems that personal user's sites folders don't work when FileVault is on. You'll get permission errors.

Ummm, that could be an issue for some people... Wonder if they know about that or not? What about your public folder?

Just tried the Public folder thing and they don't show up either.
I put two users. One using FileVault, the other is not.
I can see the webpages and Public folder of the non-FileVault user and can't see those in the FileVault user.
Wish I would have known this before I did it...

Of course not. What's the point of having encryption if all your files are available on the web? This isn't a bug or a glitch or a programming oversight.

Well one option would be to create another account that doesn't need to be encrypted. If anything else pops up along these lines, then you have an account already setup for that specific purpose.

Art, are you importing and exporting, or just importing?

This is a bug! You can turn on Personal Websharing but can't share the sites folder if you have filevault enabled.
As far as I can see there is no warning telling me that if I turn on filevault my personal sites folder will be inaccessable for others.

I've never used the ~/Sites folder. Instead, everything is in /Library/WebServer/Documents
FileVault should have no bearing there.

From Mac Help, under "About File Vault":
If you're thinking about using FileVault, you should be aware that it could affect scheduled backups and interfere with access to shared folders in your home folder.
