The line was as long as an entire avenue block, plus some. Absolutely incredible to see that on a brisk Friday night between 7 and 8 PM. Friends and I grabbed a bite and then got on the line at 8:45 for about 10 minutes. Whoa, what a nerd fest.

Enjoyed the 10% off on other purchases by helping myself to some iPod accessories and DVDSP2. The guy in front of me bought FOUR Powerbooks.

Impressive to see so many Mac enthusiasts from so many different backgrounds filling the store and enjoying themselves. Installing Panther on my iBook as I write this.

the fact they weren't allowing Student discounts on Panther...
oh well poor apple, lost my business for the night, and i sure woulda loved to use that 10% off on atleast 4 thing...they lose.

Brick and mortar Apple Stores don't give student discounts on any software.

The line to PURCHASE was even longer. Incredible. Plus the credit card system was down so they couldn't swipe cards. They had to take imprints. Unbelievable.
