I have a large LaCie drive with several partitions. I would like to make one partition larger and another smaller, and Disk Utility gives me a warning that changing the size will result in loss of all data.

Is this true? Even on partitions which are not being resized?

Is there a way around this problem? I don't have sufficient additional storage to move all my data back off and on easily.

Thanks

I was also wondering about this after reading the read me in disk utility. Is there a program that can create new partitions without erasing everything. I know on Windows this is very easy to do with a program like Partition Magic.
