They should ship with Panther now. However, be careful and ask before you purchase from a reseller. They could try to unload old stock with a now old OS.

Online order from Apple, yes. Different resellers... you'll have to ask them and be careful with them.

What about an Apple Retail Store?

I bought a G5 at an Apple Store tonight at the Panther event. Panther was not installed but it included a Panther "flat pack" which is a plastic bag containing all the discs and documentation. It was slipped into the box between the cardboard flaps, and there was a green sticker with a "P" on the box, indicating that the Panther flat-pack was included.

Obviously these Panther flat-packs are slipped into the boxes of machines that have already shipped without Panther.

If you buy a G5 from MacConnection they will reimburse you for the cost of the upgrade if needed. Don't know if that applies to all machines.

I would not trust the UK Apple Store to ship Macs with 10.3 pre-installed.

I bet people will not even get a free copy of 10.3

They will probably expect you to get 10.3 via the Up to Date offer!!!

Certainly Macs bought from resellers stock will not get 10.3 I would instist on a free copy of 10.3 if I was buying a Mac with 10.2 installed.
