My geek tool no longer displays my console log file. I believe this is related to the fact that there is no longer a file named console.log where it used to be...

Anybody know where it ended up?

I'm guessing it may be the system.log file, although I can't seem to get geek tool to read it...

Open up the Console app and command-click on the window name in the title bar.

You'll get a pop-up showing the path, like in the Finder.

I thought I'd heard that GeekTool didn't run in Panther. I'll find out soon enough, I guess.

The most current version ran fine on mine... I didn't even need to re-install it... My only problem is I cannot find the console.log anymore...

SomeToast told you how to find it.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Actually the place to find it is /Library/Logs/Console/<shortname>/console.log, if you need to redirect a tool to look somewhere.

also you will find previous renamed console logs there.

Yah... When I did what the first person stated (to run the console.app), I found that out... I just missed the post...
