This new functionality is brilliantly done; with many presets and the ability to create custom label templates - as long as you want one label per card!!!
Be careful... There's an option that gives the choices of how many you want to print. If you choose one address label and choose 30 (for Avery 8160, for example) you'll get 30 pages printing out; each with the one address on it!
There's nothing on Apple's forums about this subject. Or anywhere else that I've found yet.
Hopefully, somebody will discover the secret for an ability that must be possible; unless Apple missed an obvious need.

After a little fiddling with AB, I came up with a solution. It's not elegant, but it works...
1) Create a new group in AB.
2) Create a new card (either from scratch or by copying and pasting an existing card).
3) Copy and paste that card as many times as you need to to fill up a page of address labels.
4) Select that group and print your labels.
The only downside to this method is that if you look at all of your cards, you'll see all of the duplicates in the list. Obviously, this isn't ideal; but whatever works...
In the Print dialogue, "Layout" allows you to pick the type of label layout and "Label" allows you to set the type font, size, color, etc. You can only left-justify. One nice feature is that if you set a size that is too large to fit a label, the program automatically resizes everything small enough to fit.
While the label printing feature in Address Book isn't perfect - it's free! Kudos go to Apple for adding this nice element to AB.
