Every time I eject my firewire drive the finder asks me to put in my password. I have to authenticate it.

Does anyone know how to remove this?

That seems like a smart feature because i've accidently ejected my firewire drive before.

Don't have Panther yet so couldn't tell you.

No its not cause my friend has the same drive and its not happening to him. It has to do with permissions.

It does the same thing to me but only in my non-administrator account. if I'm in my administrator acount then it doesn't ask.

That does sound like a permissions thing to me.
