I want to install Yellow Dog Linux on my external Firewire hard drive, but when I boot off the install CD it only sees my internal hard drive (and yes, my hard drive in connected to my Mac).

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

It isn't a problem. No varriant of Linux can boot off a FireWire drive.

That is what you get when you use an OS designed by a guy who sucks his thumb and carries a "blankie"
