I'm guessing no since not even the Apple Stores offer it.

I don't know about CompUSA but it,s available at the online Apple Store. Just follow the "Educational Discount" link and you'll find Panther for 69$.

you can get panther for $69 at the Apple Store Online and Retail. For retail, all you gotta do is show your student ID.
And I think you can get it at CompUSA too. I remember my friend's wife is a teacher and he got a discount there.

Actually, I was just at an Apple retail store in Salem, NH and they wouldn't give me the educational discount on Panther. I even had my ID with me, but they just said they couldn't give me the discount. Needless to say, I was slightly annoyed, but all it means in the end is that I'll have to order it online and have it delivered.
I'll bet at Apple retail stores it will vary by location, manager, and salesperson.

Well the Easton store in Columbus wouldn't accept my student ID.

Depends on the CompUSA (I work for them) they have to have a corporate sales center. Most don't. The one that I work at doesn't, we won't give educational discount on anything.

Thanks for the answer. I had a negative answer before from the Apple Store in the area, so I as wondering about the CompUSA.
