Hi, in Jaguar I had this problem, I ussually have around 2.000 emails in my inbox, and when mail app in jaguar was saving or compacting or whatever that was, it just stops whole system for a minute or 40sec, this was very annoying, so is Panther Mail this way better? no slowdowns with big mailbox and mail app running all day in a background? I have 10.3 Dual Gig, 1.5GB RAM, Many thanx... I'm using Entourage now just because of that stupid OS9 like problem. Thanx

So I have 1.6Gb of mailboxen full of stuff and if threaded view is on Mail hoses up so bad it brings down the everything to the BBOD such that only a reset button click gets you out.

I am leaving threaded view off - it's a bomb.
