Smooth scrolling?

Is it just me, or is the smooth scrolling option not all that smooth? Using my Kensington mouse or the keyboard, it still "stutters" during scrolling. I do see a slight hint of the acceleration/decceleration effect that I've seen described elsewhere, but it really doesn't seem all that different.

I'm on a rev.B 17". Thoughts anyone?

Did not like it or hate it, but I did turn it off after a couple of days.

I turned it off immediately after trying it on my iBook. Seemed less smooth than non-smooth scrolling

I prefer it on. Scrolling is quite a bit smoother in Safari, and clicking in the scroll bar track causes the scroll bar to glide to the correct position. Nice.

I only wish that it worked that nicely in Finder windows too.

I hate smooth scrolling. It's cool that Panther has the option, but it's not for me. I find it too laggy. When I scroll, I want the page to just /move/, not to "slide."

I was wondering what was slowing things down. Turned it off and now scrolling is zippy.

Smooth scrolling drove me absolutely crazy when they added it to Windows.
