Hi all,

I am getting 10.3 soon, and want to do a clean install. I have a superdrive, so I figure my only option is to burn my user account to DVDs. My user account is about 14 GB, and I have 3 DVDs.

My question is, does anyone know of a good program or way to back everything up and split the stuff onto the DVDs? I don't want to have to pay anything. Once I install 10.3, I need to put everything back together. I don't want to just burn as many folders as I can either.

I want to make sure no data is lost in the backup. Thanks!

I'd really suggest just doing an archive and install, rather than a wipe. It might be tricky to back up that much onto DVDs and then get it back in the right place. Of course, you should backup your critical documents and whatnot before installing, no matter how you do it.

I don't mind, it's worth it in my mind. I'm trashing all my prefs anyways.

Maybe disk images or sit? or something else?
