I just started Activity Monitor. So I'm new at it.
A few processes I can identify by the name. Order not sure.
What are they ?
- SystemUIServer
- pbs
- loginwindow - login is over, so why is it still running ?
- ATSServer
- WindowServer

I think this handles the little menu bar icons...

- pbs

pasteboard server. handles the clipboard (i.e. cut & copy)

- loginwindow - login is over, so why is it still running ?

Because the loginwindow process runs for your whole session, it launches the finder and dock, and handles restart and shutdown, among other things.

- ATSServer

Apple Type Solution Server. Handles fonts.

- WindowServer

have a guess. go on

I was just suspicious.
If I were to make a spy software, I would name it "Something server" or something which seems a normal activity. So all these servers are known activities.

Just name it VERY_BAD_VIRUS Server and 90% of the mac users wouldn't ever figure it out...
