Will Panther be any faster or responsive than Jaguar on an older iBook (dual USB, 500MHz, 640 MB RAM)?
Thanks for any info.

I've got the exact same iBook as you.

I've just installed Panther and there is a noticable speed improvement over Jaguar. I've got 256Mb memory on my iBook 500MHz.

Also the features are good, too.

I'm going to use my keylime 466 clamshell as the experimental victim for this upgrade. I've almost stopped using it except when travelling because 10.2 is tediously slow. Improved performance would be nice.

Anyone with an ibook from this era tried the upgrade yet?
