Was this in 10.2 or is this new?

I saved a file, left it open, renamed it in the Finder, later went back to the open file, proceeded to save and was notified it seems to have been renamed and I could change the name if I wanted.

Nice,

J

It must be application specific. TextEdit won't do it. What app was this in?

SubEthaEdit notified me when saving, Word didn't, but automagically saved into the renamed file and reflected the change of filename in the window title.
