Hey everyone...I have a new emac with OSX 10.2.7. Since yesterday everytime I open iChat or mail (and sometimes word) and try to open something or start a chat, it closes and I get a pop up saying that the app has unexpectedly quit. Does anyone know what this could be or how I can fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx!

This is just a less severe way of saying the app crashed.

The first remedy to try is to delete, or move the app's preference file from /user/library/preferences.

I get sporatic problems for any program but often for Quark 6.0 and World Book.

I'm kinda new with macs so sorry if these are dumb questions...

if I delete the apps that are doing this...how will I get them back? also is I move the apps preferences, where do I move them too? thanx again for the responses so far...
