Apple has updated their KBase documents that explains what build #s are and what versions equal release versions.

Just incase someone still thinks that 7b86 w/debug code is the latest panther build...

Interestingly they didn't note any of the G5 build numbers in there. For the record:

10.2.7 (G5) either 6S74 or 6S75 (mine was 6S75)
10.2.8 (G5) 6S90
