I posted this in networking forum as well but there is probably more traffic in this forum. The only problem I'm having with panther is that networked Mac volumes in my home network do not show up on my desktop. Networked PC's at work do mount to the desktop. The only place that the networked Macs show up is in the network pane of the Finder and then only as a highlighted icon. This is really annoying as I tend not to shut down my computer, just put it to sleep. If I forget I had a networked volume it seems to slow down performance and drain the battery faster. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a way to make the volumes mount to the desktop? Thanks for the help in advance.
