Hi everyone im back again...
Ive been messing with iTunes trying to set up my music library... But i have to click and drag my files from the folder into iTunes, then it automatically puts all of the mp3s into seperate folders according to what album the ID3 tag says its on. This is very frustrating, and not very organized... Does anyone know how to simply import the files in according to the name and song title, retaining their original folder?
Also, some files i cannot rename because it says theyre write protected or something? I just burned these files off of my old PC, so im not sure why theyd be protected?
Other than small things, everythings going great still... Thanks in advance for any help!

iTunes prefs > Advanced > Deselect "Keep iTunes Music folder organized."

You probably don't have permission to change the files' ID3 tags. Select the files in the Finder, Get Info (look in the File menu), open the "Ownership & Permissions" disclosure triangle, and change the owner to yourself and the access to "Read & Write." You might need to authenticate to do this (click on the lock icon and enter an admin username and password).

Don't worry. You just have to "unlearn" the way Windows does things.
In any application, don't be afraid to just look through every menu, click through every preference, and experiment. The way OSX is designed, it's pretty hard to seriously screw things up (you can't access system files, etc) and there's literally tons of neat little tricks and capabilities to discover. So, just keep track of what you do so you can put something back the way it was if you don't like it.
