I have panther installed (Titanium Powerbook G4 1Ghz) since Friday and everything worked fine until today, when after a restart i lost several preferences including all desktop/dock/expose/ical settings but most importantly all my mail.app settings (including mailboxes, account setups and rules). The strange thing is, all mailboxes are still in the library/mail folder but mail.app doesn't seem to recognize them. This is very frustrating since i spend hours importing and setting it but moreover because i don't know if i can rely on this in the future. I strongly suspect that it has do do with FileVault being turned on (since i had a similar problem with bbedit preferences being not recognized right after filevault was turned on). I'm trying to find people that have experienced a similar problem (please state if filevault is on on your system). also, any ideas how i could bring back my mail preferences?

Ditto here. It was a pain to troubleshoot this issue, but now that this is a know issue, it should not be long before this is fixed in 10.3.1. A problem with FileVault would be probably be on the top of Apple's To Fix list.
