Just completed an upgrade, can't print to my USB epson 740. Repaired permissions, reset pram.....don't know what else to try??

Did you do an "easy install" or a custom install? The default (easy) install does not include some of the epson printer drivers. Many of them are in the second epson printer package, which needs to be enabled in the custom installation.

However, I think you can add them later yourself anyway. Try inserting the third disk (or is it the second?) and look for the epson 2 package.

I can't remember if the 740 is in the epson 1 package (installed by default) or the epson 2 package (not installed by default).

My install discs were incorrectly numbered so this may not be the same for you. Epson printer drivers package 1 and 2 were on disc 2.

Install both packages.

Open System Preferences and click on Printers and Faxing.

Click on setup printers.

Delete any printers that show up.

Then click add printers. Your printer should show up.

Then go back to the Printer and Fax window from the preferences Pane. Select your printer from the drop down list.

Open something that you can print. Select print from the menu bar. Click print. Everything should work.
