I wonder if/when they will be buying G5 rendering machines. When the G5 Xserve comes out? (Apparently, at a shareholders meeting they said they would be buying G5 rendering machines, not just G5 workstations.)

Very impressive. They should sell those scripts. Or sell them to another company who could market them.

Did Pixar even write them? Isn't Hostmaker a 3rd party open source thing?

Here is the whole Pixar presentation in .mov format, with lots of cute Pixar cartoon characters.

Pixar Infrastructure

- Infrastructure Predominantly Unix (authentication, mail, NFS, scripting)
- 375 Mac Desktops; 100 Mac Laptops
- 500 Linux Workstations (likely becoming Mac OS X boxes in the future)
- 125 Windows Desktops
