Drives won't mount... how odd. Drives won't mount in 10.2.8

	I have a G4 running 10.2.8. Everything has worked fine for some time. While out of the office for a week our tech guy snagged my video card for a test and reinstalled it. Now that I'm back my Firewire drive and iPod won't mount. They don't even show up in Disk Utilities. For that matter I can't get a (.dmg) disk image to mount. Now I'm not suggesting the tech guy messed anything up, I'm just stating the facts. Any thoughts here?
