Hi - first post :-) ..

Apple Mail, X.2.n or X.3.n

How do u print a header and a footer along with the email message like Eudora v.n does with ease?

A Eudora message has:-
the header has the From field name, followed by the date and then the subject

the footer has Printed for your name and email address

hope someone can help if Apple Mail can't then its back to Eudora and I dont want to do that!

When I print from Mail.app, the headers (From, Date, Subject, and To) are printed along with it. The only type of footer I know of are the signatures you can have go out with your sending mail. I don't know of any specific for printing.

hey! - thanks for the reply and details -

let me explain my problem better! -

well I hope so any how :-)

.. yes I also get the headers with the mail message, From: To, subject date etc ..

this is the printing of extra headers as Eudora does automatically to the top and bottom of the page outwith the actual email message .. like word does with the headers and footer option ..

not sure if its a mail or printer driver option ..

anyone else have any ideas?

simple answer: you don't.

If it's something you really need, I'd request the feature from apple and start looking for Mail plug-ins or AppleScripts that do this
