I have installed panther on my new 15" powerbook, but when i try to open a os9 application, it won't start, and it says that I don't have os 9 installed.

With 102.7 and 10.2.8 this worked great, but now it doesn't!

Does anyone know?
And by the way, do you know what's inside the panther disc 3, cuz I didn't put it in when I installed panther because it didn't ask me to.

Thanks!

No, Panther doesn't have Classic and neither did Jaguar. You either have to not delete Classic before installing Panther or reinstall it if you did delete it.

Look at the install packages of disk 3 to see what's on it.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Before on 10.2.7 that came with my pb it emulated classic, but now it doesn't?
Can I install os 9 on my pb, or can you only do that on older machines?

Thanks!

I don't think OS9 is included in Panther

Classic still works better than ever in Panther. You just have to install it.

Reinstall Classic from the Software Restore CD that came with your machine.

Stop confusing Classic with OS 9, they're not the same. Classic is the environment that runs OS 9 in OS X, and it requires that you have OS 9 installed. Panther does include Classic, but it doesn't include OS 9. This makes tons of sense to me. If you have apps that don't run in X, chances are really good that you already have OS 9 too. If you don't, it's only $20 now.
