I am running OS10.2.8 Yesterday, I was trying to isync (vers 1.3) my iCal and Address contacts with my (2nd generation) 20 gig iPod. I do it almost daily and never had any problems before. But the strangest thing happend and I'm hoping to hear from one of you who can help.

In the middle of the sync, the screen went blank and seconds later the log in screen appeared and I was forced to log back in. I have never seen this behavior before. After I logged back in, my iPod was still mounted and fine, but iCal (vers 1.51) quit. When I restarted iCal, it quit mid-way thru loading my calenders. I went to the Library and trashed the preference files for iCal

com.apple.iCal.plist com.apple.iCal.sources.plist

Anway, I restarted the computer and iCal still will not open. It keeps quiting at the same place, as it is loading my calenders.

First, does anyone know how I can recover my iCal data? Trashing the preference files has not worked.

Second, has anyone ever encountered a computer-driven "log in" situation? This has never happened to me before and it boggles me. I had ONLY the two choices of re-logging in or shuting down...

HELP!

24"2.33Ghz iMac, 500G Hdisk, running OS 10.5; iPhone 3G 16G
