Desktop Image options gone...?

First of all... I apologize if this is too-many images to post at once... I tried to compress the JPEG quality down to a small file size for each one.

Now... Where did the ability to tell the desktop HOW to handle an image go...? You cannot specify; stretch, tile, etc. like you used to.

For SOME bizarre reason, once I log-in, I cannot get the new Panther (or any image) to stretch to the full 1200 x 1600 on my primary monitor (AGP GeForceTi). BEFORE I login, it is full-screen on that monitor... and AFTER I login, it is fine on my other 2 monitors... but for some reason, it 'tiles' on my primary after login, and there's no-way to force it to stretch.

Here are the screenshots... this is my primary monitor and the Prefs... note how it tiles the bkgnd.

----

Yet on my secondary (and third) monitor(s)... it stretched just fine...!!!

----

And there is no control for telling it what to DO with the image... is it my imagination, or is there supposed to be a dropdown button here...?

----

Does anyone ELSE have control over this...? Is it a bug on MY system, or do you ALL lack the ability to control this...? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thnx.

OH! Side-note... it used to stretch just fine BEFORE Panther.

And to drive the point home one last time... it BUGS me that it IS stretched to 1200 x 1600 on the login screen, but once logged-in, it frickin' TILES just on THAT monitor...! UGH!

Well the only way I got the options to show was to drag an image over, not use one from a folder. Odd eh? Can anyone else confirm this?

Hey... That was odd...

I just "Dragged" the same photo into the little window and got the options back. That's strange. Time for me to give Apple a little "Feedback".

Thanks for the confirmation.

I know, I thought it was odd as well. I filed a report with Apple, hopefully something will come out of it!
