When I got my PowerBook it came with iDVD. That was with version 10.2.6

When I upgraded to Panther, I have no iDVD. Do I have to buy it now???

Did you erase your drive?

You can reinstall iDVD from your original restore disk(s).

If yours is a recent powerbook, install "software restore.pkg" from either restore cd#1 or the install/restore dvd. Software Restore app will launch after the install finishes, and it will then give you options of what to restore - uncheck everything but idvd.

iDVD is *software* that came bundled with your computer. It is *not* part of the standard OS. As said, either restore from your backup or extract it from your restore cd.

(and...please search the forums first...this has been covered by at least a couple threads already.....)

the reason for this is that iDVD is really too big to be part of the OS or downloadable, it's over a Gig.

If it is such a problem for you, then don't waste you time responding. Who gives a crap if it appears twice in a forum. Oh no, you have to spend .5 seconds to read over a topic that has already been covered.

Nate, don't be a punk. Do a search before posting your cries for help.

no, it certainly is not the end of the world. it is however, one of the "guidelines" (or, rules if you prefer) for posting in the forums. and i did answer your question anyway, just adding a *polite* reminder to search next time....so don't get so bent up about it.
