I have got a file on my desktop that I can't throw away. It was on my desktop when I installed Panther though I don't know if that means anything.

Anyway, If I throw the file away and try to empty the trash, PANIC TIME!

Any ideas?

Yeah, I know I could probably call Apple but this is more fun.

This is a G5 dual BTW.

I'll stop using the term "colored" as soon as they do.
I'm somewhat of an enigma: an atheist conservative.

what is the file named and/or what kind of file is it?
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...

It is an installer for a classic version of Kai's Power Tools.

I'll stop using the term "colored" as soon as they do.

I had something wierd happen with a CD. It was only this one CD and everytime it was in the Machine and I tried to Multitask or go back to the desktop to click on it, kernel Panic. Everything is fine now that I don't have that CD in it. Good thing I was able to get the files off that CD then burn them to a different one. NO more kernel Panics. The system is solid as it ever was.
