It's a long story, but a friend has a B&W G3 that he's going to send to someone to run Panther on. But before he sends it, I wanted to make sure it's running OK.

We'll buy plenty of RAM and we don't expect terribly good performance. But that's OK in this case. Again - I just want to verify that it's running OK on some B&W G3's before I have him send it out.

So, anyone running on a B&W G3 that can confirm it's working?

Thanks,

Wade

Is your friend a MacNNer too? I may be the dude he is sending it to?!

I still use my yosemite as well, so I'd love to hear some blue & white panther feedback too.

B&W 800Mhz PL upgrade (originally 450Mhz Rev B), Radeon 7000 using QE hack. 1GB RAM

Expose slides smoothly and quickly. Panther works without a hitch. No card problems on upgrade or new install.

Do it. You'll be happy.

Installed it yesterday on a stock bw G3/350 w/ 16mb ATI 512 mb ram. Installs fine, runs fine for the limited use I get out of it. Everything appears to be fine and opens up in 3-5 bounces.

I was running Panther on a B+W with a Radeon card and a 500mhz G4. I thought it ran really well.

I'm running Panther on a Rev A. iMac 233 with 256MB Ram and it runs fine. I think a B&W with more ram will be even better. You should be OK.
