I am running Panther, and I connect to my office's network via AirPort. I am wondering why I can't seem to see all the SMB (and perhaps other sharing protocols as well) fileservers and Wintel boxes through the network icon in Finder?

I can connect to the fileserver by using "Connect to server..." but I can't see SMB shares on the Network icon. I've tried connecting using Ethernet, and it works fine, but not with AirPort.

Is this a limitation of AirPort? I did select to use base station as a bridge between AirPort and Ethernet networks...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
