Anyone had luck getting printing to a Xerox 7700 in Panther?

Xerox does not yet have a driver ontheir site. Apple makes no mention of it coming with drivers. Printer Gimp also makes no mention of it working.

I really want to upgrade but don't want my printer to be rendered useless by the move to Panther, you know?

Mine is working fine. I have a 7700DN. I did a fresh install of panther and used the same PPD I used with Jag and it printed without any problems.

Assuming you're printing over ethernet, you don't need a driver. Just choose the PPD you're currently using when you add the printer... it'll work just fine. (Panther may include a PPD for the 7700 already; I'm not sure.)

glad to hear you got her working.

when you say a "fresh install" do you mean you rewrote the drive and started from scratch?
