I want to connect an older ibook to a new one running OS 10.3 using the firewire target disk mode. I've read on MacFixit that some people have had problems with disk corruption of their hard drive when doing this (due to the firewire hard drive problems with panther).

Has anyone tried the firewire target disk mode running panther and were there any problems?

Yep...did it last night with my Pather G4 PB 1G and my PowerMac dual 1.25 G4...not a problem...

Target Disk mode is a function of the firmware, not the OS.
