yes... those should be exclamation points. and i should have line breaks in here. and i should have capitals, too. somehow all my modifier keys are not working. i just installed panther and now i'm getting this bizarre keyboard issue. anyone else experience this problem. please help. i can not use it like this. did i maybe turn on some strange keyboard setting. i already restarted and that didn't fix it.

Check to see if NUM Lock is on! If I lock it down my keyboard doesn't type some keys!

Well. Guess this should have been in the powerbook thread.

I began getting strange, intermittent keyboard flakiness. Like the shift key would work, and then it wouldn't work. And then it'd work again.

So, I figured it was probably something with the connection between the keyboard and the motherboard. Sure enough, when I lifted up the keyboard the little ribbon cable connector was a bit loose. I seated it firmly on the little connector and all was well.

Mods, please delete or lock. Problem solved.
